I got the news yesterday from
petzipellepingo that
allthatjazmyne had taken a turn for the worse... then this morning the news that she had passed away last night. I'm still in shock. I've gotten to make some wonderful friends through Buffy fandom over the years, and Julia was one of the best. Even after that horrible day, just after Christmas (was it really only 17 months ago?) when she found out she had lung cancer, I never doubted that she'd beat it, or at least tame it into submission. She was always so positive and full of life.
I never got a chance to meet her in person... we'd been planning to get together later this year at San Diego Comic Con. I still just can't believe she's gone, and I'm so glad I got the chance to know her. For now, though, my thoughts and prayers are going out to her husband, who lost his wife way too soon, and her family.
