Convention Season is a-coming...
Jul. 6th, 2006 09:52 pmI finally knuckled under and bought a plane ticket for my trip to San Diego Comic-Con! I'd been dithering on whether I wanted to just drive (with stops to visit friends and relatives (including my grandfather who needs computer help) along the way, I would have done it in three easy days) and then did the math. I think it would have saved me about $25 to drive... and that was assuming gas never got above $3.10/gallon.
So, I'm flying. Down to Orange County, then driving to San Diego with
cynthdiane and her son... I realized, at the last minute, that
rackham's twin sister lives only about an hour away from Cynthdiane. After a quick call to see if she'd be willing to drive out to get me and take me back to the airport later, I extended my visit by a few days and will get a chance to see my niece! (As well as her parents.)
I'm still feeling that twinge about missing WriterCon this time... so many people there that I want to see and meet, but SDCC has started releasing the schedule for SDCC and the excitement is starting to take over!
Oh, and just in time for Convention Season...
jainamsolo should be quite relieved to know that John Kovalic is running PSA series (in plenty of time for GenCon, too!) in Dork Tower right now:
The first here.
And the second one here.
