I really, really wanted to be going to Boston this weekend to see several of my friends in the production of Star Wars: The Musical at MIT. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any airfare under $600 roundtrip from Seattle to Boston for the two of us... which was way more than we could spend for a quick weekend jaunt.
Disheartened, I resigned myself to not being able to go and began making commitments locally. And then today... it arrived in my email. JetBlue is having a sale, and we could fly round trip from Seattle to Boston, leaving early THIS Friday (as in day after tomorrow) and returning on Sunday, for $180 each.
Only now, of course, I have all these other commitments that I really can't get out of. If this deal had popped up just a week ago, I could have done some finagling and rescheduling and been able to swing it. Grrr.
