Miyazaki and Diana Wynne Jones
Apr. 20th, 2005 08:49 pmI finally saw a trailer for the English version of "Howl's Moving Castle"!!
The characters really aren't how I envisioned them when I read the book, which I knew from watching the Japanese trailers, but the animation is absolutely stunning (I would have expected no less from Miyazaki). I'm hoping the June release date on the trailer is accurate... it would give me a good movie to go see on my birthday! Still no info on the Disney website, though. :-(
In organization news... I've started in on the closet in the guest room, which shouldn't take too long since it's mostly stacked empty boxes and old computer parts. That's also where I keep my stash of switched keyboards (the old style with actual mechanical switches under the keys... they make a very satisfying clickclickclick when you type, and you can FEEL that you've hit the keys).

taradaktyl today, who very nicely ooo'd and aaah'd over them. She also had a great suggestion for determining what to put in the two normal-sized drawers above the filing drawer in the filing cabinet... so I've been gathering things up from the desktops that go together and don't need to be sitting out all the time. So far, it's checkbooks and stamps (two things that we often have trouble locating).
Hopefully, the continued task of getting rid of all of our junk will take my mind off the fact that I'm missing Star Wars Celebration III this weekend. The con will probably be as horribly over-attended as Celebration II (which had so many people thatnmissi and I only got in to see two things, and the halls were so packed it was almost impossible to move), but it would have been nice to see my friends again.
