The end of the year...
There's been an avalanche of these sorts of entries already (and am I the only one who hears the word avalanche and automatically thinks of the quote "The avalanche has already started, it is too late for the pebbles to vote" in Kosh's voice? Ah, just me then... ), so what's one more!
2008 has been a pretty good year for me... I've lost 64 pounds, I've become active and am well on my way to being fit. I finally got to quit going to physical therapy (after having to go for the previous two years). I can move my arms in practically every direction they're supposed to move and I can even lift some things over my head again. Yay!
While I didn't read 50 books as I'd hoped, I did manage to reach around 25 (I'm not positive, because my list of books is on my desktop at home, currently inaccessible since it looks like my computer didn't come back up after a short power outage), which is tons better than the year before but still a far cry from what I used to read. After the car accident, I simply got out of the habit of reading (I hadn't even known it was a habit... I mean, reading is just something you DO) after not being physically able to hold a book for about six months. Plus there was all that lovely, tempting fanfic out there.
We finished the remodel of the laundry room (note to self, remember to post pictures and perhaps a video when we return home) and it is beauteous!
I got to travel and meet up with so many of my friends, as well as family (and friends who are practically family), always a highlight to a year!
We still have another three and a half hours until Midnight here, but here's wishing everyone a fantastic 2009!!! Happy New Year!!!!

I'm sorry, what? 2008 was an AWESOME YEAR for you!!! You are so amazing to me. You're really an inspiration. You have taken this and run with it, and I hope I can follow your example in 2009!
