Tonight's Heroes

Whoa.

Just... whoa.

That was completely unexpected. But very, very clever from a storytelling perspective... there are two ways I can see them going from here with it. It's either going to make Peter and Isaac even greater enemies or it's going to bind them together in guilt. Personally, I'm hoping for the latter, because I think they play well off one another.

I'm getting really impressed with Peter's mastery of his abilities.

On the other hand, I'm wondering how long Mohinder is going to remain so incredibly stupid about Sylar.

The group storming HRG's house was a bit of a shocker, too. I wasn't expecting anything quite so direct.

Did I read somewhere that the actress playing Matt's wife is pregnant, and that's one of the reasons for the on-screen pregnancy?

Nice Stan Lee cameo!

I'm definitely hoping this isn't the last we'll see of Ando (and I don't think it will be), because Hiro really does need a sidekick.

Overall, a LOT of a forward momentum this week and a lot of action. And it's all good.

But whoa... I was absolutely not expecting them to kill off Simone. Especially not like that.

And now I'm off to see what everyone else on my flist has to say about it!

I know that Isaac and Peter work together in the future... At least I think they do.

I think Mohinder is getting the pictur now, because Sylar won't be able to handle this new ability. Hey, now when he hears voices he will really hear voices!

I was expecting Stan Lee [it was in TV Guide] but I thought there would be more.

I don't think we will loose Ando. He's us, the "every man".

Simone's death was a big surprise!!!

You know of the rumors that we will loose one of the main characters. TV Guide says March 5th is drop dead day.

Ok, so I have to admit that my first thought when they killed off Simone was, huh, has Peter been near a healer besides Clair? He didn't know that he had picked up a power from Sylar. Who knows what he has picked up?

If Ando is gone for good, I will cry.

I'm starting to feel sorry for Mohinder, he has worked with two "Heros" now, and both have betrayed them. Not for the same reasons, but if I was him, I would be getting so paranoid!

I'm wondering if she's permanently dead? Since Peter has a whole bunch of "hero" in him and I'm pretty sure he met Hiro at some point (?) can he re-loop time to stop this from happening. Maybe she's "mostly dead"...
And very clever Stan Lee cameo.

He met future!Hiro on the subway.

Of course, this line of thinking makes me very sad because Simone dying was the best thing that's happened on this show for weeks (and no Niki! It's like it's my birthday or something!)

Just when Peter was starting to get on my nerves, suddenly he's totally rockin'! And he got a much better flying scene than Tom Welling... ;)

And come on. Ando's got the freaking CAR. You think he isn't going to beat that bus back to Vegas? No way is he going to be left out. In good sidekick/companion fashion, he's going to insist on coming, get into trouble, and make the hero/Hiro realize he has to keep him around just to keep him safe. So there!

Just hoping that's not the last we see of Claude...

Last week when they said "someone will die," I said to Barb, "It'll be Simone." So I was actually surprised, because I NEVER get those things right!!!

It was a nice, tight episode - I sure hope Mohinder wigs onto who he's with, and SOON, though!

We got concerned about Peter becoming TOO powerful, and I said it may be the only way he'll be able to defeat Sylar - of course, in my wicked mind, I added that should Peter win this final conflict, and absorb all of Sylar's stolen powers, then he might very well STILL explode...!

Heh. I thought they took the LOST Season 1 Route of "See which character never caught on and off her." I'm not complaining. If I had to choose who would die, I would have chosen Simone as well.

I've been expecting something bad to happen to Simone for a while. Not wanting it to, just guessing from the particular story-telling ruts conventions this show seems to be following.

I love both Hiro and Ando, but I have been just a teeny bit, uh, disappointed, at how literallistically they've made Hiro's story follow Campbell's Hero's Journey. Ando was Hiro's last connection to his old life, so he had to separate from it (technically, if they were following it pedantically, he would have done that before the Atonement with Father incident, but Ando was a vital part of those scenes to show both Hiro's thinking and the interpersonal relationships between the three members of the Nakamura family.

What I keep finding most annoying is Matt keeps doing stupid things that he ought to know better than. Yes, someone needs to confront Mr Bennett, but the way they're doing it, it's just so obviously not right. Although it could be argued that this is trying to show us the Matt is even more flawed than we originally were led to believe. I guess we'll see.

I hope we "see" Claude again soon.

Simone was one of my two top picks for death, because she's pretty useless from a narrative standpoint, and because she's female, and the show so far has a record of killling off female characters.

I have a faint hope that Mohinder has twigged and is playing dumb so Sylar doesn't kill him, too, but it's a very faint hope.
