I realized it's been a little while since I last posted random photos from the inside of the house... and we've actually managed to finally get some of our artwork up on the walls in the past few months!

I've been really, REALLY happy with the amount of light we get in this house... even on cloudy days, it's relatively bright in here, but on sunny days? The house just shines! I continue to absolutely adore the colors everywhere, although we've still got a lot of patching and repainting to do. There were all sorts of dings and holes in the walls when we moved in and we've been taking our time on fixing them... I think it part because we got a bit burned out on house repairs/remodeling in the year leading up to selling our last place. It's been great getting some of the artwork up, though, because it really does make it feel even more like home.

The print between the windows is Michael Whelan's "Summer Queen" that

rackham got me one year, I think, for Christmas. The one over the stairs is a photo taken by one of the official NASA photographers of the last launch of Discovery... the first space shuttle launch we got to see and the only one we saw together. It's been printed on canvas and we had it framed. Just love that one!
